You can send a tip. There is no paid listing product, no featured slot, and no ranking that money can buy. If your note is useful, it may inform a city hub or a how-to example — suburban banquet rooms with round tables, a market-side lunch grain, a late grid noodle. It will not become a hidden paid profile.
We will not publish a shopfront as “currently open” just because you wrote to us. Rooms change. The useful unit on this site is the precinct and the method, not a directory line.
What to include
Send all of the following if you can:
- city and the street precinct (not only a postcode)
- the regional focus you actually cook: Cantonese roast, yum cha, Sichuan, vegetarian, banquet-capable, mixed Australian-Chinese
- a public way to verify the room — a street address the public can see, not a private booking link
- whether you can seat a large table, and whether that is the usual work or a rare exception
- anything about produce or hours that is a method, not an advertisement (“we buy greens the same morning”, not “award-winning”)
Do not send advertising copy that claims hats or awards we cannot see. Do not send prices. Do not send a photo gallery and ask us to “get the word out”. Do not send a script you want posted in our voice.
If you run more than one room, say which city and which precinct each belongs to. A national paragraph is less useful than one street.
What we do with it
We read for geography and kitchen practice. A note that a south-side Brisbane strip now holds more regional specialists than the inner mall may change how we weight a hub. A note that a Gold Coast room is cooking for locals in May and visitors in January may sharpen the review method. We may never print your name.
If we need a clarification, we may reply. If we do not reply, that is not a rejection of your cooking. It is the limit of a guide that does not run profiles.
Corrections to something we already published — a precinct we have under-described, a method that is wrong — belong on contact as well. Those are more likely to change a page.
What this is not
This is not an application for a score. This is not a booking partnership. This is not a promise that diners will be sent to you. The city hubs tell people how to walk a street and how to judge a room. The diner still chooses.
If you want diners to find your phone number, that work happens on your own door, your own site and the platforms you already use. Our job is the map and the method.
Diners use a different form on recommend a venue. If you are writing about your own room, stay on this page so we know the tip is first-hand from the kitchen.
Use the form below. City, precinct, region, and a public way to verify the room are the useful core.
